Both teams received one point each after rain played spoilsport in Match No. 55 in Hyderabad. SRH now have seven points from 11 matches and are out of contention. On the other hand, DC moved to 13 points from 11 games and sit fifth on the table and are in contention for a top-four spot.

Before rain lashed the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, SRH put up a clinical effort with the ball to restrict Delhi Capitals to 133 for seven. SRH  were on course for only their fourth win of the season until rain arrived. After the rain delay, the match officials eventually decided to call off the game at 11.10 pm local time.
