Amid his two-day visit to Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Friday that he has fulfilled his promise to punish terrorists and their hideouts. Following the Pahalgam terrorist attack, PM Modi had vowed that the terrorism "would get a punishment bigger than they could ever imagine" from the land of Bihar. He underscored the significance of his promise, referencing the popular phrase "Praan jaaye par vachan na jaaye."
"The people of Sasaram know the customs of Lord Ram. 'Praan jaaye par vachan na jaaye'", he said, adding, "After the dreadful terrorist attack in Pahalgam, I had promised the country on the land of Bihar that the hideouts of the masters of terrorism would be razed to the ground, that they would get a punishment bigger than they could ever imagine."
While addressing the public in Bihar, the PM highlighted the government's efforts to eliminate Naxalism and promote development in the region.
"How Naxalism was dominant in the Sasaram and nearby districts a few years ago... These people had no faith in Babasaheb Ambedkar. Even in those circumstances, Nitish Kumar tried his best for development here... Before 2014, more than 75 districts were Naxal-affected. Now, only 18 districts are left Naxal-affected. The day is not far when Maoist violence will be completely eradicated," Modi said.
During his rally, PM Modi also reminded people of the Jungale Raj of the Lalu Era when crime was its pick in the age.
He also exaggerated that many innocent civilians had lost their lives in the heinous act of terror unleashed by terrorists in Pahalgam on April 22.
PM Modi added that Pakistan and the world have seen the power of "sindoor" of daughters of India. He asserted that the terrorists felt safe under the protection of the Pakistan army, but they were brought to their "knees" by the Indian forces.
"The power of 'Sindoor' of the daughters of India... this was seen by Pakistan as well as the world!. The terrorists considered themselves safe under the protection of the Pakistani Army... our forces brought them to their knees in one stroke", the Prime Minister said.
