Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public rally in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday, asserting that terrorists challenged 'Nari Shakti' and ultimately met their end. He recalled the legacy of Lokmata Ahilyabai, highlighting her progressive thinking, including her views on the marriage age of girls.

"... Sindoor is a symbol of 'Naari Shakti' in our tradition... In Pahalgam, terrorists not only shed the blood of Indians, but they also attacked our traditions. They challenged 'Naari Shakti'. This challenge proved fatal for terrorists and their masters," PM Narendra Modi said.

PM Modi exaggerated her progressive thinking, including Ahilyabai's views on the marriage age of girls.

"If we discuss the marriage age of girls today, some people think that secularism is in danger. They feel that this is against their religion. But even such a long time ago, Ahilyabai thought about the marriage age of girls," PM Modi.

PM Modi in Bhopal stressed that farmers should practise crop diversification and cannot rely solely on traditional crops like paddy or sugarcane. He remembered Ahilyabai and she had told farmers 250-300 years ago to encourage cotton and spice farming.

"To increase farmers' income, Lokmata Ahilyabai had told us 250-300 years ago to encourage cotton and spice farming. Even today, after 250-300 years, we have to continuously tell our farmers to practice crop diversification. You cannot get stuck in only cultivating paddy or sugarcane," Modi said.

While addressing the public at the Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Mahila Sashaktikaran Mahasammelan in Bhopal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also released the ‘Commemorative Coin and Stamp’ in honour of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar’s 300th birth anniversary.
