A wave of fear has gripped Pakistan in the aftermath of India’s Operation Sindoor, and its impact was visibly evident in Pakistan’s Parliament today. During a heated debate, Pakistani MP Tahir Iqbal broke down in tears, emotionally pleading for divine protection.

"Ya Khuda, aaj bacha lo (Oh God, save us today)," Iqbal said, sobbing in the middle of his address. He further added, "We pray to Allah for our safety," capturing the intense anxiety reportedly spreading among the country’s political class following India’s deep strikes targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Pakistan Suspends Flight Operations In Major Cities

Following India's Operation Sindoor, Pakistan on Thursday suspended flights in major cities such as Islamabad, Lahore, Sialkot, and Karachi, citing rising tensions and operational issues.

The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) suspended all domestic and international flights from major airports until 6 p.m., citing increased security threats following India's targeted attacks on terror installations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Emergency alarms were heard in Islamabad as the Pakistan Army announced that it had intercepted and shot down several Indian Harop drones over cities including Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi. The PAA confirmed that Islamabad's airport operations were suspended due to "operational reasons," while the suspensions in Lahore and Sialkot were specifically related to security concerns.

Security officials disclosed that drones were involved and destroyed across a broad swathe of Pakistani airspace, including Punjab's Gujranwala, Attock, Bahawalpur; Sindh's Umerkot, Ghotki, and Maino; and Chor in Balochistan. Residents have reported explosions in some of the locations.
