Ghaziabad: A teenager allegedly committed suicide here by jumping in front of a moving train as he was worried about his Class XII exam results, police said today.
Ritesh (18), who had just appeared in the board exams, yesterday left his home at 5 PM and did not return, SHO of Loni police station, Awdhesh Pratap Singh said.
His family members had looked for him yesterday but with no success and, today morning, some passersby found the body of Ritesh near Kharkhari railway crossing, he said.
The family members told police that Ritesh was worried over his performance in the board papers.
The body has been sent for postmortem and an investigation is on into the matter, the SHO said.
