New Delhi: Comedian Kapil Sharma’s café, Kap’s Cafe, located in Surrey, Canada, was attacked again on Thursday — the second time in less than a month.
According to a report by India Today, Gangster Goldy Dhillon, who is associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has claimed responsibility for the attack.
An NDTV report stated that 25 gunshots were heard in a video allegedly capturing the incident, which is now circulating on social media.
A online post, allegedly by Goldy Dhillon, read: “Jai Shree Ram. Sat Shree Akaal, Ram Ram to all brothers. The firing that happened today at Kapil Sharma’s Kap’s Cafe in Surrey has been claimed by Goldy Dhillon, affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. We called him [possibly the target], but he did not answer the call, so we had to take action. If he still does not respond, then we will take the next action in Mumbai soon.”

Mumbai Police and other security agencies have launched an investigation into the matter. This follows a previous attack on July 10, when the café was first targeted. During that incident, employees were still inside, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. Over 10 bullet holes were found on one window, and another pane was shattered.
Back then, Khalistani terrorist Harjeet Singh Laddi had taken responsibility for the shooting.
The café had earlier issued a statement, standing “firm against violence,” and expressing a desire to remain a symbol of warmth and community for all visitors.
The Khalistani terror group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) had also claimed responsibility for the earlier attack. Their statement alleged that remarks made on Kapil Sharma’s show hurt the sentiments of the Nihang Sikh community, particularly over jokes made about their traditional attire and conduct.
The BKI is listed as a terrorist organization by the Canadian government, and Harjeet Singh Laddi is currently on the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) most-wanted list.
