New Delhi: Google, on Wednesday (January 12), announced the launch of the Nest Hub 2nd Gen in India. The tech giant said in a statement that the new Nest Hub’s speaker is based on the same audio technology as Nest Audio. The new device, however, has 50 per cent more bass than the original Nest Hub, the firm said.

Customers can now buy the Google Nest Hub 2nd Gen from Flipkart, Tata Cliq and Reliance Digital.
Google Nest Hub 2nd Gen sports an edgeless glass display. The device comes with an additional mic that can hear users better than ever, resulting in a more responsive Google Assistant, Google said.
Customers can turn off the microphone by simply sliding the hardware switch on the back of the Google Nest Hub 2nd Gen. An orange light will indicate if the microphone has been disabled.
Users will be able to delete all their recordings by simply saying things like "Ok Google, delete everything I said last week". Google doesn’t retain users’ audio recordings on the device.
Moreover, the device comes with a Guest Mode so that the user’s Assistant activity won’t be saved to their Google account and personal results won't be shown, IANS reported.
The Nest Hub 2nd Gen is designed with recycled materials with its plastic mechanical parts containing 54 per cent recycled post-consumer plastic.
