This city also ranks as the second slowest-moving metropolis globally, just behind Barranquilla in Colombia. The average speed in Kolkata is just 17.4 km/h, with commuters taking around 34 minutes and 33 seconds to cover 10 kilometers. This makes Kolkata the slowest-moving city in India.

Bengaluru ranks second with an average travel time of 34 minutes and 10 seconds for 10 km. Pune follows closely at third place, taking 33 minutes and 22 seconds for the same journey.
Barranquilla in Colombia is ranked as the slowest city globally, with an average speed of just 10.3 mph, making it the city with the most severe traffic congestion. It takes commuters 36 minutes to travel 10 km.

Other Indian cities, such as Hyderabad (32 minutes), Chennai (30 minutes), and Mumbai (29 minutes), also feature in the global list of the slowest-moving cities. These cities have significant traffic challenges that impact daily commuting.
