Dhadak 2, directed by Shazia Iqbal, is a Hindi romantic drama and a spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak. Starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, the film explores the love story between Neelesh, an idealistic law student from a marginalized background, and Vidhi, a modern city girl who challenges societal norms. Set against the backdrop of caste and class divisions in contemporary India, the film is a remake of the Tamil hit Pariyerum Perumal. Slated for release on August 1, 2025, Dhadak 2 has already created a buzz with its trailer.
The spiritual sequel to Son of Sardaar, directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and jointly produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, N.R. Pachisia, and Pravin Talreja, is slated for release on August 1st. The movie stars Ajay Devgn, Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, and Sanjay Mishra.
Another much-awaited Bollywood rom-com, Param Sundari, is set to release on August 29. The film is a cross-cultural romance set against the scenic backwaters of Kerala, India. It follows the story of a North Indian boy, Param (played by Sidharth Malhotra), and a South Indian girl, Sundari (played by Janhvi Kapoor). Hailed as Gen Z's Chennai Express, the movie explores how two individuals from contrasting backgrounds find love when their paths cross.
Fans are already buzzing to see Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan face off in YRF's spy thriller, set to release on August 14. The movie also stars Kiara Advani, whose appearance in the trailer has further excited fans. War 2 directed by Ayan Mukherji is one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi will hit the screens on August 1. Directed by Ravindra Gautam, the movie is based on the book The Monk Who Became Chief Minister. It stars Anant Joshi as Yogi Adityanath, the current Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
The movie Bihu Attack is scheduled to be released in India on August 15, 2025. Directed by Suzad Iqbal Khan, the film will feature Dev Menaria, Arbaaz Khan, and Rahul Dev in lead roles.
Acclaimed director Vivek Agnihotri's upcoming movie The Delhi Files is set to release on August 15. A segment of the film, titled The Bengal Chapter, will also be released in August. The movie stars Pallavi Joshi-Agnihotri's wife who is also co-producing the film. Other cast members include Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Puneet Issar, Govind Namdev, Babbu Maan, and Palomi Ghosh.
