The vote counting for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections is underway, showcasing a highly competitive political scene. According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a historic win with 48 seats in the capital, while AAP won 22 seats, and Congress failed to win a single seat.
As ECI declared the result today, several prominent leaders including Parvesh Verma, Atishi, Satish Upadhyay and others secured the victory from their assembly constituency.
BJP prominent candidate and likely to be the New CM of Delhi, Parvesh Verma secured a victory while defeating AAP chief and Delhi former CM Arvind Kejriwal from the New Delhi seat with a margin of 4089 votes.
Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Atishi won from Kalkaji seat of Delhi assembly contituency with 3521 votes against BJP's Ramesh Biduri.
Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Satish Upadhyay won the Malviya Nagar assembly constituency seat with 2131 votes and defeated AAP leader Somnath Bharti.
Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Kapil Mishra won the Karawal Nagar assembly constituency seat with 23355 votes and defeated AAP leader Manoj Kumar Tyagi.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Manjinder Singh Sirsa won from Rajouri Garden seat with 18,190 votes and defeated AAP's A Dhanwati Chandela.
