The prime minister's arrival occurs a few weeks prior to the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple scheduled for January 22.
At the redeveloped Ayodhya Dham Railway Station, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched two Amrit Bharat and six Vande Bharat Express trains.
During the four-hour visit, the Prime Minister launched and laid foundation stones for 46 infrastructure projects amounting to ₹15,700 crore.
PM Modi inaugurated the redeveloped railway station. The Ayodhya Dham junction stood as a three-story facility with food plazas and waiting rooms.
The Ayodhya airport is scheduled to commence operations on January 6, anticipating an annual service to nearly 10 lakh passengers.
Devotees from various parts of India will be brought to the grand temple of Lord Ram following its consecration, by flights originating from major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Ahmedabad.
