BJP leader and Karnataka Cabinet Minister BS Sriramulu's daughter Rakshita tied the nuptial knot with Hyderabad’s Lalith Sanjeev Reddy in a big fat-wedding on Thursday (March 5, 2020). The reception was organised at Bengaluru’s Palace Ground.

According to media reports, close to Rs 500 crores was spent on the nine-day wedding affair which was attended by an estimated 1 lakh people, including special guests from Karanataka’s political and film fraternity.
Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa was among those who attended the wedding and blessed the bride and groom and posed for photos.
BJP’s Janardhan Reddy was also present and seen with the couple.
The pre-muhurat events began on Wednesday night and elaborate sets were made for over a lakh guests.
A literal carpet of flowers was arranged to welcome the guests into the venue.
The grand procession arrived at the Palace Grounds with people in cars and on horse carriages as drums played.

After BJP leader Janardhan Reddy's daughter's marriage in Bengaluru Palace Ground, the marriage of Sriramulu's daughter is being considered one of the costliest marriages in Karnataka's history.
However, those close to Sriramulu sought to play down suggestions that the wedding was one of the costliest in Karnataka's history along the lines of the lavish wedding hosted by mining baron Gali Janardhana Reddy in 2016 when his daughter Brahmani got married.
PM Modi was also reportedly invited for the wedding but he could not attend it due to his prior engagements and busy schedule.
The nine-day wedding celebrations for Sriramulu's daughter Rakshita began in Ballari on February 27.
Sriramulu's daughter Rakshita is an MBA graduate.
