The Tejas Express is a high-speed train in India, with speeds of up to 200 km/h (124 mph). Its maximum operating speed is limited to 130 km/h (81 mph) due to safety and track restrictions.
This train features automatic plug doors, with all main entrance doors centrally controlled by the guard. The train will not start until all doors are closed.
Western Railway has introduced the newly upgraded Tejas sleeper coach with fully air-conditioned train rakes, marking a new era in train travel with enhanced comfort. These bright, golden-hued coaches, featuring advanced smart features, are being introduced for the first time on the prestigious Mumbai Rajdhani Express. The new coaches are designed to offer the best-in-class travel experience.
For enhanced security, each Tejas coach is equipped with six cameras offering live recording. These CCTV cameras feature day-night vision, facial recognition in low light and a Network Video Recorder.
The train features a panic button in each lavatory, to be used in case of emergency.
