The American-based professional tennis player Ben Shelton is currently locking horns with Italy's Lorenzo Sonego in the quarterfinal of the men's singles in the ongoing Australian Open at the Rod Laver Arena.
Earlier, Shelton achieved his career-high singles ranking of No. 13 in August 2024. Talking about doubles, Shelton reached a career-high ranking of world No. 68 in May 2024.
At the early age of 12, Ben Shelton started playing Tennis under the supervision of his father, Bryan Shelton, who was a former professional tennis player.
Shelton took part in college tennis at the University of Florida, where he won the NCAA Division 1 title.
He also won his first ATP title in 2023 at the Japan Open Tennis Championships.
Back in the 2023 US Open, he served two aces at 149 mph in a single service game.
