India’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah became India's highest wicket-taker on Thursday in a test at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
He reached the feat when he scalped the wicket of left-hander Usman Khawaja on Day 1 of India vs Australia 4th Test.
Bumrah has been in scintillating form in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 as he has picked up 21 wickets in 3 Tests so far.
He is India’s highest wicket-taker at the iconic MCG.
Bumrah also surpassed Anil Kumble’s feat who took 15 wickets at the MCG.
The Indian team has an impeccable record as they have not lost the last three Tests since 2014 at the MCG.
Team India started the Test series on a high as they outplayed Australia in Perth by 295 runs.
Australia then made a brilliant comeback as they beat India by 10 wickets in Adelaide.
The third Test witnessed heavy rains and as a result, the game ended on a draw in Brisbane.
