New Delhi: German weightlifter Matthias Steiner witnessed a death-defying moment at London Olympics 2012 where he dropped 432 pounds (196 kgs) on his neck!

Steiner had a lucky escape after he dropped 432 pound barbell onto his neck London's ExCel centre.

During the second lift of the competition, Steiner couldn't sustain the weights above his head during the snatch portion on the platform.

As medical personnel rushed towards him, the German was out of danger as he managed to get himself out of the heavy weight.
