Choose an appropriate pot with a good drainage system and atleast 12-16 inches, as a lemon needs space to grow.
Now choose the lemon variety, go for the dwarf one like Meyer lemon or Eureka, they are easy to manage.
Then, mix regular potting soil with sand, and don’t let the soil become soggy.
Now, for the location, choose the spot where lemons will get direct sunlight for atleast 6-8 hours.
Then water the lemon plant, only when the upper layer is dry, as overwatering can spoil the plant.
Always use citrus-specific fertilizers and once a month when they are about to grow.
Your lemon tree has grown. Trim any dry leaves and check for pesticides. Now, pluck the lemons, squeeze them into salads, or make lemon water.
