Step 1:

Choose an appropriate pot with a good drainage system and atleast 12-16 inches, as a lemon needs space to grow.

Now choose the lemon variety, go for the dwarf one like Meyer lemon or Eureka, they are easy to manage.

Step 3:

Then, mix regular potting soil with sand, and don’t let the soil become soggy.

Step 4:

Now, for the location, choose the spot where lemons will get direct sunlight for atleast 6-8 hours.

Step 5:

Then water the lemon plant, only when the upper layer is dry, as overwatering can spoil the plant.

Step 6:

Always use citrus-specific fertilizers and once a month when they are about to grow.

Step 7:

Your lemon tree has grown. Trim any dry leaves and check for pesticides. Now, pluck the lemons, squeeze them into salads, or make lemon water.
