Peel and grate 1 small beetroot. Squeeze the juice using a clean muslin cloth or strainer. You’ll need about 1–2 teaspoons of juice.
In a double boiler (or a heat-safe bowl over simmering water), melt together: 1 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tbsp beeswax, 1 tsp almond oil, Add Beetroot Juice.
Once melted, remove from heat and slowly stir in the beetroot juice while whisking quickly. This helps it mix without separating.
Add a few drops of vitamin E oil for longer shelf life and extra nourishment.
If you see any pulp or lumps, strain the mixture using a fine sieve for a smooth finish.
Quickly pour the warm mixture into lip balm tins or small jars before it solidifies.
Let the balm cool and set completely (15–30 minutes). Store in a cool place and apply as needed.
