The Windies openers, Shai Hope and Brandon King, got off to a flying start, smashing 66 runs in the first six overs without losing a wicket. Hope was particularly dominant, scoring 43 of those runs. Although King fell at 125, Hope continued his onslaught and went on to score his maiden T20I century. The Windies batters took full advantage of the short boundaries to post a massive total.
