Update - 6.44 pm GMT - Good news! The Windies players look ready to take the field. The ground staff are spreading sawdust near the damp areas and the umpires seem to be happy with the conditions. We are minutes away from resumption. GAME HAS BEEN REDUCED TO 40 OVERS PER SIDE.

UPDATE - 6.26 pm GMT - The umpires are out for an inspection now. Some of the covers are also being taken off and there is bright sunshine and well. It's looking good folks. 

UPDATE - 6.05 pm GMT- Well, some good news as the live visuals show that the rain has stopped but the covers are still firmly on. The supper-soppers are working and the drainage here is fantastic, so it should not take that long. Stick with us for further news.

UPDATE - Unfortunately, it is still raining heavily and with every minute passing, it is looking unlikely that Pakistan will bat again. However, West Indies will be hoping that at least this game happens even if it is a shortened one as they are well positioned to force a decider.

UPDATE - 5.33 pm GMT - No new word from the ground, as it is still raining. Well, now we can surely say that when the match restarts, if it does, we will definitely lose overs, as we have consumed the buffer time fully.

Just what we did not want! The drizzle has picked up and arrived at the ground now. The umpire thinks that it is enough to ask for the covers again. We can see the West Indies players reluctantly leaving the field as the momentum was with them, but no one can control the weather. We are in for another delay here. Hopefully, it is not a long one. UPDATE - 3.31 pm GMT - Oh..no! Just when we were about to restart, the drizzle is back on. The umpires ask for the covers to be put back on. While writing this, the rain has gotten even heavier, and we are in for another break here. Now, it increasingly looks like, if and when we get going, we will be losing overs, as 40 minutes or so of the buffer time has already gone. Fingers crossed for now!

UPDATE - 3.13 pm GMT - Good news, folks! The rain has stopped, and the visuals show that the sun is out and the covers are being removed now. We can see the dryers and super-soppers all in action. The word from the middle is that the MATCH WILL RESUME AT 3.30 PM GMT, barring further rain. We are not expected to lose any overs, as we have an hour of buffer time.

UPDATE - 6.26 pm GMT - The umpires are out for an inspection now. Some of the covers are also being taken off and there is bright sunshine and well. It's looking good folks. 

UPDATE - 6.05 pm GMT- Well, some good news as the live visuals show that the rain has stopped but the covers are still firmly on. The supper-soppers are working and the drainage here is fantastic, so it should not take that long. Stick with us for further news.

UPDATE - Unfortunately, it is still raining heavily and with every minute passing, it is looking unlikely that Pakistan will bat again. However, West Indies will be hoping that at least this game happens even if it is a shortened one as they are well positioned to force a decider.

UPDATE - 5.33 pm GMT - No new word from the ground, as it is still raining. Well, now we can surely say that when the match restarts, if it does, we will definitely lose overs, as we have consumed the buffer time fully.

Just what we did not want! The drizzle has picked up and arrived at the ground now. The umpire thinks that it is enough to ask for the covers again. We can see the West Indies players reluctantly leaving the field as the momentum was with them, but no one can control the weather. We are in for another delay here. Hopefully, it is not a long one. UPDATE - 3.31 pm GMT - Oh..no! Just when we were about to restart, the drizzle is back on. The umpires ask for the covers to be put back on.
